Aston Villa Vs Fulham London

Aston Villa Extend London Dominance with Ninth Consecutive Win

Beating Fulham Continues Impeccable Record Against Capital Clubs

Villa Maintain Position in Top Four, Fulham Slip to 13th

Aston Villa continued their impressive record against London clubs in the Premier League, securing a 3-1 victory over Fulham at Villa Park on Saturday. The win marked Villa's ninth consecutive league triumph against teams from the capital, extending their unbeaten streak to 23 games.

The result saw Villa maintain their fourth place in the table, while Fulham dropped to 13th. The home side took the lead through Ollie Watkins in the eighth minute, and Leon Bailey doubled the advantage just after the hour mark. Fulham pulled one back through Aleksandar Mitrovic, but Douglas Luiz sealed the win for Villa late on.

The victory was Villa's 13th straight home Premier League victory, setting a new club record. Unai Emery's side have now won their last nine league games against London teams, dating back to a 1-0 defeat to West Ham in July 2020.

Fulham, meanwhile, have struggled on the road this season, winning just twice in their last 10 away league games. Marco Silva's side will be looking to bounce back when they host Chelsea on Thursday.
