Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, known affectionately as MVT, is a trailblazing figure in German women's football. Born in Duisburg in 1967, she carved out a successful career as a player, representing Germany at international level and winning multiple league titles.

A Visionary Leader

After retiring from playing, Voss-Tecklenburg transitioned seamlessly into coaching. She led the German U-19 team to two European Championships and guided the Swiss national team to the knockout stages of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

In August 2018, she became head coach of the German women's national team, making history as the first woman to lead the team. Under her leadership, Germany won the 2022 UEFA Women's Championship and reached the semifinals of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
